How to run a 16+ player eFootball tournament
eFootball's in-game Custom Tournament caps at 8 players and expires after 7 days. Here's how to run 16, 32, or 64 players with a real bracket, deadlines, and verified results.
Why 8 players is the ceiling in-game
The Custom Tournament mode added in eFootball v6.0 (August 2026) creates an invite-code room for a maximum of 8 participants, knockout only, and the room closes after 168 hours. Great for a friend group; too small for a community.
To go bigger you need a bracket that lives outside the game: the matches are still played in eFootball (friendly matches or 8-player rooms per pairing), while the draw, schedule, results, and standings live on a tournament page everyone can see.
Set up the bracket
Create a free tournament here, pick "Knockout cup", and choose your size — 16, 32, 64, up to 256. Seeds are assigned automatically in join order, or you can seed manually before kickoff. Byes are handled for you when the field is not a power of two.
Choose who can enter: open (anyone joins instantly), approval (you confirm each entry), or invite-code only for your Discord or WhatsApp community.
Play and report
Each pairing plays their match in eFootball and both players report the score on the match page, attaching a result screenshot. Matching reports confirm instantly; a mismatch flags the match for you to resolve with the evidence.
No-shows are handled with one tap: award a walkover and the bracket advances automatically. The public bracket, results, and every player profile update the moment a result is confirmed.
